Diagnostic Labs

Fast, accurate diagnostics like bloodwork and imaging help us detect issues early and treat them effectively.

Advanced Testing, Compassionate Care—Because Your Pet Deserves Answers

When your pet isn’t feeling their best—or when you simply want to make sure they’re healthy—accurate diagnostics are the key to understanding what’s going on inside their body. At Creekview Animal Hospital, our in-house diagnostic lab allows us to quickly and precisely identify health conditions, helping us make informed decisions and deliver the right care at the right time.

Pets can’t tell us what’s wrong—but diagnostics can. From routine blood tests to advanced imaging, our veterinary team uses modern, reliable tools to uncover the full picture of your pet’s health.

Why Diagnostics Matter

Even when your pet looks healthy on the outside, there can be underlying issues that only lab tests can reveal. Many conditions such as kidney disease, diabetes, infections, anemia, liver disease, and hormonal imbalances may not show visible symptoms until they are well advanced. Early detection is crucial—not only to treat illnesses effectively but to prevent small problems from becoming serious ones.

Our diagnostic lab services are used for a wide range of purposes:

  • Routine wellness screenings
  • Pre-surgical bloodwork
  • Allergy and skin testing
  • Infection detection
  • Infection detection
  • Parasite identification

  • Monitoring chronic conditions

  • Emergency assessments

Whether it’s a scheduled checkup or a sudden concern, diagnostic testing gives us the clarity we need to make quick, confident medical decisions.

Our In-House Capabilities

At Creekview Animal Hospital we’ve invested in state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to give your pet access to timely and reliable results, often within the same visit. Here are some of the in-house diagnostic tools we offer:

🩸 Blood Testing

We perform complete blood counts (CBC) and biochemistry panels to assess organ function, hydration levels, red and white blood cell counts, and more. These tests help us diagnose infections, anemia, inflammation, metabolic conditions, and even cancers.

🧪 Urinalysis

Urine tests help us evaluate kidney function, detect urinary tract infections, crystals, and more. These are especially important in older pets or pets showing signs of frequent urination, accidents, or dehydration.

💩 Fecal Testing

Our lab can identify intestinal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and protozoa. Regular fecal exams help protect both your pet and your family from zoonotic diseases.

🧬 Cytology & Skin Scrapes

If your pet has a lump, rash, or skin irritation, we can examine samples under a microscope to identify infections, allergies, or abnormal cells. This helps us treat skin conditions more effectively.

📸 X-rays & Imaging

While lab work tells us about internal function, digital X-rays give us a look at bones, joints, and soft tissues. This is crucial for diagnosing fractures, arthritis, internal injuries, and swallowed objects.

❤️ Heartworm & Tick-Borne Disease Testing

Fast, accurate blood tests help us identify heartworm, Lyme disease, and other tick-borne illnesses early, giving your pet a better chance of full recovery.
